I have been travelling to the States more often in the past few years and find Americans to be so much more rude, uneducated about anything outside their own borders and very prejudiced against other countries and peoples. Even a simple phone conversation can lead to rude remarks. I am imagining this??

Ahhh well, I tried to resist this one alas I am unable to do so.
Would that be all Americans? You must have been awful busy to get to canvas the entire country.

My experience has been really positive - I've been to America a few times over the past few years, and I've always found people to be polite, helpful and really friendly. But I agree I haven't come across anyone who knew much that went on beyond their own state / city...
It is one heck of a big country, I guess...
